Meet the Owners

Zoom Drain Indianapolis is owned and operated by the husband-and-wife team of Chris and Rachel Duggan. These business extraordinaires offer more than 30 years of business experience, including sales, customer service, and management. Chris is the Vice President of Residential Sales for a fiber optic Internet company, and Rachel is a Senior Mortgage Loan Officer for a bank.

The Duggans were introduced to Zoom Drain in August 2022 and were immediately drawn to the company for many reasons, especially the company culture. “The team is incredible. Jim, Ellen, and the rest of the crew at corporate are phenomenal,” the Duggans comment. “My fellow franchisees have been amazing partners. They're happy to answer any questions and offer any guidance they have. The people here are happy, engaged, and invested, making Zoom Drain a fun environment!” The Duggans also feel the essentiality of Zoom Drain to be a major factor in the brand’s success. “It's a necessity. People who work in the trades are the salt of the earth. They come in to do the 'dirty' jobs when no one else wants to. With a franchise like Zoom Drain, safety and cleanliness come first. Our technicians are trained to do the job correctly while maintaining a clean environment.”

In addition to their work with Zoom Drain, the Duggans are intrinsically engaged in the community. They believe, “The community depends on us. It's important to serve that same community in any way possible through volunteer work, charitable donations, and being an engaged citizen.” As such, after relocating from Atlanta, Georgia, to the Indianapolis, Indiana, area, Rachel started the Westfield Rocks Referrals Group to create a local bond. This group is more than just a networking group. The 20 members have provided more than $750,000 in business referrals to one another since its inception. The group also gives back to the community meaningfully throughout the year, organizing and hosting various food, coat, and blood drives and other philanthropic initiatives.

Through Zoom Drain and the Westfield Rocks Referrals Group, the Duggans have cemented themselves in the Indianapolis community and become Hoosiers. They love the local Indy community because of the kind, welcoming people, family-friendly atmosphere, and abundance of activities available to their whole family.

The Duggans proudly provide essential sewer and drain services to support their community and beyond.

Our FAQs

  • To prevent clogs, avoid putting the following down your kitchen sink:

    • Grease, oil, or fat (FOG).
    • Coffee grounds.
    • Eggshells or food scraps.
    • Fibrous vegetables (like celery or corn husks).
    • Pasta, rice, or other starchy foods.
    • Regularly clean drains using a natural drain cleaner like baking soda and vinegar.
    • Install drain screens or traps to catch hair and debris.
    • Avoid flushing non-biodegradable items down the toilet.
    • Be mindful of what you pour down the kitchen sink (e.g., no grease or oils).
    • Have professional inspections performed periodically.
  • A cleanout is a pipe fitting that provides easy access for drain cleaning. If your plumbing system doesn't already have one, Zoom Drain can install a cleanout, which can save you time and money when clearing future blockages.

  • Sewer lining is a trenchless method of repairing damaged pipes by inserting a liner into the existing pipe. The liner hardens into a new pipe, sealing any cracks or leaks. It’s less invasive and often more cost-effective than traditional sewer replacement.

  • Signs that your sewer line may need repair or replacement include:

    • Persistent slow drains or backups.
    • Unpleasant odors coming from your drains.
    • Wet spots or patches of lush greenery in your yard (indicating leaks).
    • Gurgling sounds in your toilet or sinks. Zoom Drain provides comprehensive sewer repair, lining, and replacement services.
  • A malfunctioning sewage pump may show signs like:

    • Sewage backup or slow draining.
    • Foul odors or gurgling noises.
    • Inconsistent or no pump operation. Regular inspections and maintenance can prevent costly failures.
  • Signs of sump pump issues include:

    • Water pooling around the sump pump area.
    • Strange noises when the pump operates.
    • Pump not turning on or off properly.
    • Water not being pumped out effectively. Zoom Drain can inspect and provide repair or replacement services.
  • Jetting from the roof vent involves sending high-pressure water through your drain lines starting from the roof vent, which clears out blockages from the top of the pipes. This technique can reach clogs that are deep within the system, particularly for stubborn, hard-to-reach blockages.

  • Hydrojetting is a technique where high-pressure water is used to clean drains. It’s especially effective for removing grease, debris, and tree roots. This method is ideal for tougher clogs that can't be easily cleared with standard tools.

  • Zoom Drain uses advanced tools like:

    • Hydrojetting machines for powerful, high-pressure water cleaning.
    • Sewer cameras to inspect and locate blockages deep within your pipes.
    • Locators to precisely find and identify issues underground or behind walls.
    • Traditional augers for mechanical drain clearing when necessary.
