Meet The Owners of Zoom Drain Auburn.

Drain and Sewer Services in the Loveliest Village on the Plains

Zoom Drain Auburn is owned and operated by Richard Manry and Gina Moore. Both are graduates of Auburn University. Richard played football for the legendary Coach Pat Dye back in the mid-80s, and Gina was a majorette in the Auburn University Marching Band during the same time-frame! After graduation, they both moved away from Auburn and had families of their own.

Richard has two grown sons; one is a junior at Auburn University (AU), and a daughter who is a sophomore at AU. Gina has two daughters, both graduates of AU. Bleeding Orange and Blue, both Richard and Gina love living in the Auburn area and love it.

Richard's career over the past 25-plus years was spent in the operating room and cath labs as a medical device representative in the spine and cardiology space. Upon graduating from AU, Gina spent 31 years as a speech and language pathologist in the Montgomery County School System. Along the way, Gina earned her Master's Degree in School Counseling. In 2022, Richard retired from the medical device field, and Gina retired from speech pathology she is now putting her Master's Degree to work as a School Counselor at Fox Elementary School in Columbus, Georgia.

Richard was looking for a career change from med device sales to business ownership... something that he could own, grow, and pour his attention to detail and dedication to customer service philosophy into. After months of Internet research, Richard found the franchise/company he'd been looking for... Zoom Drain. A company in the service industry that specializes in drain and sewer cleaning in both the residential and commercial space, he fell in love with Zoom Drain's brand, its professionalism, and strict adherence to customer service, as well as the vetting and background checks of its technicians. "Zoom Drain's technicians are the best, and they utilize the industry's most up-to-date drain cleaning machines and water-jetters. On top of that, our technicians wear boot covers and operate their machines on mat barriers, and they clean up after themselves! We're the Chick-fil-A of drain cleaning!” Richard says with pride.

Richard introduced Zoom Drain to Gina, and he presented all the attributes of Zoom Drain's technicians and professional brand and reputation. Being a mother and a homeowner, she saw the value in customer service, technicians cleaning up after themselves, and most importantly, Zoom Drain's technicians are vetted and background checked... a fact that gives mothers peace of mind!

After being introduced to Zoom Drain's brand and professionalism, Gina also wanted to be a part of Zoom Drain Auburn. "It's the kind of professionalism and customer service I would require and expect when a technician enters my home. And the vetted and background-checked technicians are important to me!" Gina exclaimed.

Richard and Gina believe business is all about the customer. They are proud that their service technicians make their customers feel safe and secure, and their technicians exude professionalism and appreciation for the opportunity to service the customer. One thing to point out is that Zoom Drain technicians clear drain issues.. that's all we do! There is a difference in plumbing and drain cleaning. Zoom Drain has everything needed in their box trucks to clear any drain. Even impressive water-jetting is on the box truck.

When not working, Richard is a conservationist/outdoorsman. He is an avid bow hunter. Gina's a gardener and loves anything Auburn University sports! Richard and Gina love Auburn University events. Football, basketball, all sporting events, theater, and local restaurants keep them busy. They love the area and look forward to getting more involved in the local community.

Our FAQs

  • To prevent clogs, avoid putting the following down your kitchen sink:

    • Grease, oil, or fat (FOG).
    • Coffee grounds.
    • Eggshells or food scraps.
    • Fibrous vegetables (like celery or corn husks).
    • Pasta, rice, or other starchy foods.
    • Regularly clean drains using a natural drain cleaner like baking soda and vinegar.
    • Install drain screens or traps to catch hair and debris.
    • Avoid flushing non-biodegradable items down the toilet.
    • Be mindful of what you pour down the kitchen sink (e.g., no grease or oils).
    • Have professional inspections performed periodically.
  • A cleanout is a pipe fitting that provides easy access for drain cleaning. If your plumbing system doesn't already have one, Zoom Drain can install a cleanout, which can save you time and money when clearing future blockages.

  • Sewer lining is a trenchless method of repairing damaged pipes by inserting a liner into the existing pipe. The liner hardens into a new pipe, sealing any cracks or leaks. It’s less invasive and often more cost-effective than traditional sewer replacement.

  • Signs that your sewer line may need repair or replacement include:

    • Persistent slow drains or backups.
    • Unpleasant odors coming from your drains.
    • Wet spots or patches of lush greenery in your yard (indicating leaks).
    • Gurgling sounds in your toilet or sinks. Zoom Drain provides comprehensive sewer repair, lining, and replacement services.
  • A malfunctioning sewage pump may show signs like:

    • Sewage backup or slow draining.
    • Foul odors or gurgling noises.
    • Inconsistent or no pump operation. Regular inspections and maintenance can prevent costly failures.
  • Signs of sump pump issues include:

    • Water pooling around the sump pump area.
    • Strange noises when the pump operates.
    • Pump not turning on or off properly.
    • Water not being pumped out effectively. Zoom Drain can inspect and provide repair or replacement services.
  • Jetting from the roof vent involves sending high-pressure water through your drain lines starting from the roof vent, which clears out blockages from the top of the pipes. This technique can reach clogs that are deep within the system, particularly for stubborn, hard-to-reach blockages.

  • Hydrojetting is a technique where high-pressure water is used to clean drains. It’s especially effective for removing grease, debris, and tree roots. This method is ideal for tougher clogs that can't be easily cleared with standard tools.

  • Zoom Drain uses advanced tools like:

    • Hydrojetting machines for powerful, high-pressure water cleaning.
    • Sewer cameras to inspect and locate blockages deep within your pipes.
    • Locators to precisely find and identify issues underground or behind walls.
    • Traditional augers for mechanical drain clearing when necessary.
